Passion for SPD Inspires Deputy Executive Secretary Michael Roselius to Volunteer 


Paying it ForwardFor Michael Roselius, Sigma Phi Delta was an opportunity to bond with a group of men who shared similar interests and coursework. Roselius attended Virginia Tech, and it was there that he learned the powerful impact fraternities can make on a community.

“It took me about two years to fully understand what fraternity life is really about and how we can positively impact our communities when we come together in brotherhood.”

Now, Roselius has joined the Supreme Council as a Deputy Executive Secretary, along with Raphael Mills.

Deputy Executive Secretary, Raphael Mills, Hopes to Enhance the SPD Experience

A Dream to Improve Sigma Phi DeltaOne of our Deputy Executive Secretaries, Raphael Mills, has a unique experience with Sigma Phi Delta.

He was a charter member of Beta Kappa Chapter at Lehigh University. In fact, he actually started the move to bring Sigma Phi Delta to Lehigh’s campus.

“I believed that Sigma Phi Delta would fill a niche in our school for people looking for a fraternity that was both social and professional,” Mills said. “In particular, the focus on engineering was important due to the rigor that comes with majoring in a field as math- and science-intensive as engineering.”

As a member of Sigma Phi Delta, you are part of a very exclusive group—one that firmly believes in positively shaping the lives and educational experiences of future engineers.

The Supreme Council is scheduled to meet for their annual Face-to-Face meeting Friday, July 22 to Sunday, July 24. This annual meeting is a continuation of the Supreme Council Face-to-Face meetings typically held at previous Grand President's homes as mentioned numerous times in our History. This year, the Supreme Council Face-to-Face meeting is being held in conjunction with our sister sorority Alpha Omega Epsilon's Annual Convention in Charleston, South Carolina. Besides our own meetings, we intend to continue our ongoing conversations with A.O.E. and find partnerships that are mutually beneficial to each other.
