Bob Tyioran ’69 Explains How an Engineering Degree Transfers to Other Fields

Sigma Phi Delta Brother Bob Tyioran ’69 spent his first career as an engineer. Now in retirement, he’s moving on to a new venture in life. Bob recently completed a paralegal certificate program and is seeking a part-time position in that field.

“Over the years, I had developed an interest in the law,” he explained. “Once I decided to retire, I began, and eventually completed, the paralegal certificate program offered through Elgin Community College.”

The Mouradian Twins Always Relied on Each Other

Thanks to SPD, They Have a Band of Brothers for Life

How many fraternities can say their membership includes a set of twins?

Well, this year, Sigma Phi Delta had not one, but two sets of twins pledge the fraternity, including Blake and Austin Mouradian.

The identical twins were born and raised in San Diego, California. Both developed an interest in engineering during their time at Scripps Ranch High School, and they both applied for just two schools: San Diego State University and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
