From the Archives: The First Three Leaders of SPD

We came across this great archived photo to commemorate Sigma Phi Delta's 41st General Convention. This picture shows (L to R) the first three Grand Presidents of Sigma Phi Delta circa 1934. (l-r) Second Grand President, Maurice B. Nelles (BETA '27) First Grand President Gilbert H. Dunstan (ALPHA '26), Third Grand President William A. Rundquist (EPSILON '29), and Northern Province Councilor Cornelius E. Hogeboom (BETA '26).

The Lifelong Impact of Sigma Phi Delta

We

recently uncovered a great profile on former SPD Executive Director Bob
Featheringham (IIT '60), who shared a unique and heartfelt testimonial
of his fraternity experience. He shared the stories of how he met his
late wife on a blind date set up by a fellow SPD brother, how he had the
opportunity to personally visit every single-letter chapter as
Executive Director, and how the fraternity's Code of Ethics got him out
of a very distasteful situation. Sigma Phi Delta has touched many
aspects of his life, from his undergraduate years all the way through
today and the friendships he's maintained. In short, he embodies the
true spirit of Sigma Phi Delta, and his lifelong experience should be an
inspiration to us all.

and he confirmed that he'd still answer all the questions the same, with
the exception of being a few years older.

Beta-Mu Chapter Hosts Largest Student Organization-Run Event in MSOE History

In just its second year since colonization, Sigma Phi Delta’s Beta-Mu Chapter hosted the first ever formal at MSOE. Through ticket sales, over $4,500 was raised for the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. With hundreds of students in attendance, it was the largest student organization-run event in school history.
